RETAIL SHOPS
Our Charity shops sell a wide range of goods that have been generously donated by members of the public and as such provide a much welcome source of income for us, as well as acting as a focal point for members of the public who are interested in the work of the Animal Centre
Our dedicated volunteers play an essential role in the operation of the shops, including sorting and pricing the goods, stocking the shelves and all the other jobs that need to be done throughout the day.
At present we have seven shops located in Ventnor High Street, Lower St James Street in Newport, Ryde High Street, Shanklin High Street, Birmingham Road Cowes, Avenue Road Freshwater and Lake High Street. The shops are open 6 days per week and our volunteers normally work one or more sessions, per week either in the morning or afternoon.
Charity Shop Volunteer Outline:
- To serve customers in the shop, taking money, wrapping goods and using the till
- To help and advise customers
- To ensure the shop is clean and tidy and that the goods are displayed neatly
- To sort and price clothes, books and other goods
- To check stocks of RSPCA giftware and accessories and replenish where necessary
- To assist with window displays to promote the goods in the shop

Donations of good quality clean clothing, items of jewellery and bric-a-brac are always welcome and may be taken direct to our shops or for larger items please ring 533735 to arrange a collection.
