ANIMAL CUDDLING & CLEANING

Yes, animals do need love everyday!

Our cattery & small animal section is packed full of cute cats & furries. From young to older cats , rabbits to ferrets, hamsters to gerbils, and even the odd chipmunk or two.

We have many opportunities  for you to provide love and care  for our animals. If you fancy cuddling a cat, befriending a bunny or even frolicking with a ferret then please get in touch- our animals deserve your love.

Animal cuddling is a very important role in the welfare of our animals. Volunteers must be reliable , observant, & patient. It is important that when cuddling the animals you monitor their behaviour and recognise and report any signs of illness or possible injury

Animal cuddling provides affection, socialization & grooming. Regular human contact will increase each animals chances of being re-homed.

Some animals are keen to receive lots of love and cuddles, while others are may be a little shy, unhappy or stressed so more time, care & patience will be required when handling/cuddling. You will feel a great sense of achievement when you find your time & commitment has enabled an animal to find a new home

Apart from needing love the animals also need feeding & cleaning on a daily basis. We need regular, reliable volunteers to fill these positions. Volunteers interested in a cleaning position should be aware that this can be quite physically demanding.
